KLIA Golden Lounge Domestic review

gc klia domestic

I took a Business Class flight on my plane back to Kuching from KL and managed to enjoy the fine facilities the KLIA Domestic Golden Lounge has to offer. There are two Golden Lounges at KLIA - the more discerning International one and the Domestic one.

gc klia ticket

The Domestic Golden Lounge is meant for domestic flights like KL->KCH and access is validated through the boarding pass at the main reception area of the Golden Lounge which is manned by a MAS airlines staff.

gc klia lounge

The interior of the Domestic Golden Lounge is full of boring business types (myself excluded ;)) reading the papers and other journals that this Golden Club class lounge provides. There is also a TV tuned into CNN.

gc klia food area

The best thing about the KLIA Golden Lounge (and other Golden Lounges) is the food. Everything is free inside the Golden Lounge from the OJ that you drink to the TP that you wipe your ass with. Perhaps that's not quite subtle imagery, but you get what I mean.

gc klia bread

There are endless supplies (the staff refills them) of sandwiches, baguettes and pastries of any denomination you can think of.

gc klia buffet

There are toasters and bread with deli cuts for denominations you can't think about. There is also a small buffet area of cooked food down the end of the photo.

gc klia drinks

The drinks are free as well and there is orange juice, milk and a selection of canned beverages.

gc klia plate

I helped myself to the free food...

gc klia food

...and went for seconds.

gc klia flight menu

I ate again on the plane and I like it how they trust you with proper porcelain and cutlery at 35,000 feet when you're riding Business Class/Golden Club Class.

gc klia flight menu open

I think I rather approve. ;)

Camel Turkish Royal

camel turkish royal

Camel Turkish Royal is a premium brand of cigarettes available in the US which was been kindly furnished to me for a review.

camel turkish royal cnote

The back of the flip-top box contains the familiar Camel C-Note for 1 dollar cash which is redeemable for Camel products in the US.

camel turkish royal smoke

Camel Turkish Royal opens up to reveal fine lattice work on the filter and the words "Turkish Royal" imprinted down the length of the cigarette.

camel turkish royal cigarette

Camel Turkish Royal is a nice and smooth smoke, with a satisfying aftertaste.

camel turkish royal detail

The most interesting aspect of this cigarette is the attention to detail on the Camel Turkish Royal cigarettes.

Package from the United States

us package usps

I have received a package from USPS Express and picked it up at the Post Office.

us package declare

It was ingeniously labeled as a "Birthday Present" and the contents, a "Small Book".

us package cigs

It actually contains two boxes of cigarettes kindly furnished by bigwillie from the United States.

I shall review the cigarettes soon. I can't wait to smoke them.

The Coffee Bean Hazelnut Ice Blended and Latte

cbtl hazelnut

The Coffee Bean just came out with a new promotional drink (I should know, I've been going there every day for the Wi-Fi) called Hazelnut.

cbtl hazelnut promo

Hazelnut comes in two forms - ice blended and latte, the classic hot and cold beverage options.

cbtl hazelnut ice blended

This is what the ice blended hazelnut (RM 12) looks like.

cbtl hazelnut latte

This is the hazelnut latte (RM 11).

It is basically coffee with hazelnut overtones. It's nice for a change, coz I just usually go for The Ultimate EXTREME.

Heroin Chic

heroin chic

I have found a girl who's got the heroin chic (or is it called meth chic now?) look down pat. Rail thin with the melancholic look that I'm a sucker for.

heroin chic girl

Like this. I took this photo as she was washing my hair. I wish I could say that I found her in an alley but she was my hairdresser.

Getting a hair wash and massage is a lot like having sex...when it's good, it's great! ;)

Mooncake Making Live Demonstration

live mooncake demonstration

It's Mid-Autumn Festival again! I chanced upon a live demonstration of the making of a mooncake at Wisma Saberkas and watched the progress of a snow skin mooncake from inception to retail.

live mooncake formation

The snow skin mooncake moulds are kneaded from small rotund pieces of filler before being filled and formed into larger pieces of round balls.

live mooncake balls

The relatively uniform balls of snow skin mooncake is then powdered with an unknown but non-psychoactive substance and then transferred to a mould.

live mooncake mould

The mould is a wooden contraption where the balls of snow skin mooncake is pushed into, forming the unique auspicious characters on the top before being knocked out.

live mooncake contraption

It's a relatively simple process and the molded mooncake is then transferred to receptacles suitable for retail purposes.

live mooncake retail

This is the finished product (Crystalline Twin Flavor) and it costs RM 11.50 per mooncake.

live mooncake bite

The mooncake is a yam snow skin mooncake with a carrot and lotus seed filling, a unique amalgamation of ingredients.

Snack Attack Pak Nasser's Nasi Lemak

jb snack attack

Snack Attack is the Air Asia in flight menu system and it has changed since the last time I reviewed the Snack Attack line [sixthseal.com].

jb snack attack menu

There is a flagship dish called Pak Nasser's Nasi Lemak (RM 8) available for consumption and I opted for that on my flight to JB. Described as "Traditional Malay favorite. Tender chicken rendang with fragrant coconut milk and pandan rice. Served warm with accompaniments and Snack Attack's special sambal sauce."

jb snack attack food

I was quite excited about this considering the superlative "...word has it that one of the best nasi lemak to be had is on Air Asia's morning flights" on The New Straits Times.

Genting Highlands Outdoor Theme Park

genting theme park

Genting Highlands Outdoor Theme Park is one of the best theme parks in Malaysia and they have three new adrenaline filled rides that I went on (and Rene didn't).

theme park tix

We had a deal that I'll choose three rides and she'll choose three and I went for all the thrill rides and she went for all the passive rides. ;)

Flying Coaster

flying coaster

This is one of the new rides that I chose. You basically strap in horizontally and the ride goes through a coaster ride that includes obstacles (!).

flying coaster ride

I filmed the entire procedure ala Final Destination 3 and I'll put up the video soon.

Pirate's Train

pirates train

This was Rene's choice and it's basically an indoor ride through a simulated pirate alcove.

Sky Shot

sky shot

This is one of the new rides that give you some massive G Force by shooting you up to the sky and then letting you free fall down before repeating.

sky shot ride

I love this ride. I have the full video footage too.

Bumper Boats

bumper boat

We also went on the Bumper Boats (Rene's choice obviously).

bumper boat scene

It was serene but not the adrenaline rush I wanted.

Cyclone Rollercoaster

cyclone

I also went on the Cyclone Rollercoaster which is the first rollercoaster in Malaysia. I remember being scared shitless on this ride when I was 10 but it doesn't even register on the Fear Factor scale now.

cyclone ride

I guess I just don't value life anymore.

The Biggest Coca-Cola can in Malaysia

coke can

Take your snapshot with the biggest Coca-Cola can in Malaysia (88 feet or 8 stories high).

coke can us

We mistakenly thought that was it. It wasn't. ;)

genting end

Genting Highlands Outdoor Theme Park was fun. I wish I had more time there.

Genting Highlands Indoor Arcade

genting funtasy world

Genting Highlands has an indoor arcade and theme park which people throng through during the night when the outdoor theme park is closed.

genting indoor arcade

The indoor arcade is called Funtasy World and has rides, simulations and games. I went with Rene after a session in the casino. The credits come in a swipe card instead of coins.

Gunshot

genting gunshot

Gunshot is a game where a digital rifle is fired upon targets at monitor screens about 5 meters away. The game allows 30 shots for RM 10 and its quite fun to play around with.

genting gunshot me

The rifle is attached to a cord which registers a hit when the bull eye is hit by the rifle. I played with this game for quite a while. It's like a digital shooting range.

Premier K-Box

genting kbox

The K-Box is a self enclosed kiosk that allows you to choose from a variety of songs for karaoke singing. One song is RM 2 and there is a touch screen to select from.

Harley-Davidson motorbike simulation

genting harley

I also got on the Harley-Davidson motorcycle simulation though the streets of LA. You literally have to steer the motorbike using the actual size of the Harley-Davidson.

Bass Fishing

genting bass fishing

Rene played the more passive bass fishing simulator. There is a cord attached to a real fishing rod that you use to fish with.

Top Skater

genting skate

Top Skater by SEGA Skateboarding is another simulator that we got on. It's pretty fun coz the control is via an actual skateboard attached to the arcade machine.

Namco Trackball

genting trackball

There was also this weird game by Namco where you roll a trackball like device which I played with Rene. I don't know what it's supposed to do so we just guessed and I won the game. Heh!

Namco Drums

genting drums

One of the more exotic games is the Namco drum arcade game where you hit the huge drums. The game play is pretty unusual and I like arcade machines with unusual control schemes.

SEGA Dinosaur King

genting card game

I don't know how to play this game but I went on it anyway. It's some kind of card battle game like Magic: The Gathering except it's in Japanese and I couldn't figure out what to do.

Kart Duel Go-Kart simulator

genting go kart

This is the last game that we played. It's a Go-Kart simulator with real Go-Kart controls and I managed to soundly beat Rene (or was it the other way round?).

Starbucks Coffee merchandise

starbucks genting

Starbucks Coffee has been my main hangout with Rene in Genting Highlands. It has free Wi-Fi so I can update my blog from here.

starbucks city mug display

Starbucks Coffee makes City Mugs (RM 35), a huge ceramic collectable 20 oz mug from 20 different cities in the world.

starbucks city mug

This is the Kuala Lumpur one. I got one as a souvenir and another as a birthday present for Cherie.

starbucks after coffee gum

I noticed that Starbucks makes After Coffee Chewing Gum (RM 9.50) as well. The Starbucks chewing gum comes in peppermint flavor and has the Starbucks logo on it.

starbucks after coffee gum peppermint

Rene got one of those and it tastes great. It's a great marketing strategy for "coffee breath".

starbucks trick or treat

This is Trick or Treat (RM 17.50) which is a Halloween menu special.

starbucks trick or treat contents

Rene fed me while I was updating the blog so I can eat and update at the same time.

Thanks Rene!

Archery Range @ Genting

archery range

There is an archery range at Genting that charges RM 15 for 30 arrows so me and Rene got 15 each and tried to see who gets the higher score. The bet was that I can put up her photo if I won and the opposite goes if she wins.

archery range ticket

The archery range is basically like a shooting range, with stationary target that you (try to) hit. The crossbow is a little light and the quiver goes on a nook at the front and sets at the string at the back. There are CCTV cameras pointed at the targets so you can see what's happening in real time on a screen in front of you.

archery range me

It was fun - I managed to get about six arrows onto the target while Rene got one less so I could put up her photo. Heh!

Rene from Singapore

rene

This is Rene. It is one of the two photos she has allowed me to post. She's the same Rene that baked me homemade cookies [sixthseal.com] several days ago and sent it from Singapore. I met her at JB airport before we took a taxi straight to Genting. I won RM 100 out of two games of baccarat (hey, at least it paid for the theme park access) before leaving the casino.

Choonie, Rene says hi. :)

...and I think her hair looks great. ;)

Starbucks Halloween themed promotional drinks

pumpkin starbucks

Starbucks came out with three (3) different drinks to commemorate Halloween. The drinks were launched last year in the US, which seems to be the test market. Dubbed "The perfect union of sweetness and spice", this pumpkin infused coffee tastes great.

pumpkin spice coffee

Rene ordered the Pumpkin Spice Iced Coffee (RM 14) which tastes great (but not after you have the Frappuccino, which makes it seem bland). The spice (think it's nutmeg) adds a lot to the drink and you can actually taste the pumpkin if you close your eyes and think of farms. ;)

pumpkin frappuccino

I had the Pumpkin Spice Iced Frappuccino Blended Coffee (RM 15.50) which administers a dose of Zen to the user with each sip. It is really that good, it should be put on the must try list. It's a little sweet though, but the nutmeg offsets that.

pumpkin latte

This is the Pumpkin Spice Latte (RM 14) which is the third and final promotional drink. It's a latte with generous helpings of nutmeg and it's a really good drink if you're only wearing a T-shit in Genting Highlands.

Abandon all hope, all ye who enters here...

breakfast with rene
(Insert caption)

I'm too tired to post, I feel like throwing up all the time and I haven't slept or eaten in days. I'm looking forward to this impromptu meet though coz it's a road trip of sorts. I'm flying to JB later in the morning to meet up with a Singaporean girl (I didn't want to go to Singapore just in case I look (un)worth enough of a urine drug test) before getting tickets and going straight to Genting Highlands. I'll post again later today if Genting has Wi-Fi.

breakfast with jb

I have not slept nor eaten (except juice which gave me horrible acid reflux) for several days. I can even see a pair of socks under the table which morphed into a whale and then became a bundle of leaves tied together. It only happens when I'm concentrating or talking (used nitrous recreationally and lose my train of thought before asking again with regard to the subject). ;)

I've been sleep deprived almost every day and I get Risperdal 6 mg combined with Remeron 45 mg. The high is compounded with heroic doses of tramadol (500 mg) and codeine (600 mgs) and the highlight of the show was the only thing that is suppressed not sleeping.

I'm taking Concerta, Ritalin and phentermine since pentermine is easy to get and it's goes for 50 cents per capsule at that place I told you about. I'm flying off to JB early this morning, fly again to KL again before going to Genting Highlands for a break from everything.

I'm on enough diazepam to kill a small horse in my system. I just took around 45 x 10 mg and 3 x 2 kg ) tablets of clonazepam and apparently my mom told me I was sleep walking and wanted to go to McDonald's and also talking to myself on a cell phone (!) swear I had my friends on the "cell phone" to talk crap with. It was so bizarre coz the weird visuals were not over yet coz I saw my dad praying in the corner of the room but when I looked there was no one there.

breakfast rene

It's not even an isolated incident; I did that air phone thing at least 20 times. My mom is worried about my nocturnal habits. I think it's nothing but then again that's moot since I'm going with a friend

I hope they have Wi-Fi over there...

P/S - I did that imaginary "cell phone" to call and they actually answered in the perfect pitch and timbre, I swear to God they are so real. Sleep deprivation visuals are fun.

OMG! I read the escalator and I'm going so late, which is a Bad Thing (TM).

I'm still waiting for my McDonald's order, did I order or was it closed?

Project Blender: The Ultimate Juice is the quest to achieve V8 quality vegetable and fruit juice. It requires the below:

broccoli

dragon fruit

grapes

plums

Kiwi fruit

groceries

I went grocery shopping with my mom and bought the vegetables and fruits for about RM 50. That's a lot of quasi V8 juice. :)

container

One plastic receptacle was used to store the sliced and diced fruits and vegetables before going into the blender.

prep

The fruits and vegetables were prepared and put into the awaiting receptacle.

ready

This is what it looks like when it's done - there are 12 different items in there!

blender

The blender (it's a juicer actually) does a good job at producing juice out of all these weird and zany combinations (although the banana got stuck coz it's too mushy). You just have to put them in one by one.

mugs.jpg

To my surprise, the blender only had enough juice for two mugs. The one on the left is the original one (which tastes great and healthy) and the mug on the right is added with milk. It also goes surprisingly well with milk.

I shall go forth and find zanier and zanier ingredients to put into our juicer coz it's fun!

Nite Devil and Spooky Halloween Limited Editions

nite halloween

I was at Ta Kiong (the local import specialist shop) today buying avocado (tell you about it tomorrow) when I stumbled upon nite [sixthseal.com]. I remember Cherie getting it in KL and now it seems like there are two new limited edition Halloween bottles. The two Limited Edition Halloween bottles complement each other - hot and cool.

Nite Spooky Cool

nite spooky

Experience the deadly chills of citrus flavored blend with a shadow of lemon juice.

Nite Devil Hot

nite devil

Unleash the beast with a fiery mix of playful exotic fruit flavors.

nite spooky devil

Nite Devil and Spooky tastes a lot like the Pepsi Fire and Ice [sixthseal.com] concoction. Nite Devil "feels" warm to the mouth but has an intense fruity flavor. Nite Spooky on the other hand is very cold and refreshing. It is interesting to note that Nite Devil has "Warm agent" and Nite Spooky has "Cooling agent" listed as its ingredients.

It tastes great and I like seasonal promotions so I got a couple of them to keep.

Borneo Cultural Festival

bcf entrance

Hello! My name is Sam and I went to the Borneo Cultural Festival just now coz I like bright, shiny lights. I don't like crowds though but mom and dad was with me so it was OK.

bcf henghua

This is a Heng Hua stall that my daddy told me is my heritage. I tried to eat one of the pastries and it's actually pretty good. I got a boo boo though when I fell and scraped my knee while trying to take photos.

bcf stage

I heard sounds coming from the stage so I left mommy and daddy and went to watch some girls almost bo cheng sa one. I don't know why but I felt funny down there after looking at the girls.

bcf chinese

My hands were also shaking so the photos are blurry. I don't know if it's from the girls or coz Huai Bin kor kor didn't give me any pills today. There are a lot of stalls at BCF with ethnic segregation e.g. Melanau, Chinese etc.

bcf decor

The stage show then changed to guys so I don't want to see anymore.

bcf stall

I went to walk around and saw this girl so I touch her nen nen. I don't know why, but she scolded me and ignore me after that.

bcf bamboo

I was hungry after all that grabbing action and got myself rice cooked in bamboo to eat.

bcf popcorn

There was a man making popcorn and I ate that too.

I also bought four (4) SIM cards coz I'm retarded.
016 885 3221
016 864 7478
015 885 1428
014 680 7844

Seriously though, I'm think about maintaining just two (2) lines, one for business and one for friends. I had a really good number (016 869 0110) but tardiness made me lose that one. I'm using 014 680 2348 right now.

Which of the four numbers above is the easiest to remember? 7478 and 7844 means something in Chinese but I don't like the prefix. I want to just maintain one.

Suggestions anyone?

Lormetazepam (Loramet) benzodiazepine review

loramet

Loramet is a benzodiazepine that contains lormetazepam (also marketed as Noctamid) made by Wyeth. It is a rather rare benzodiazepine and should not be confused with lorazepam or loprazolam which are different benzodiazepines. Loramet contains 1 mg of lormetazepam and I took 35 tablets (35 mg) this morning.

lormetazepam

The pills are oval and scored, with the Wyeth imprint on one side. It is a nice benzodiazepine, it chills me out really quickly and it seems to have active metabolites coz I'm still feeling very relaxed. Lormetazepam is marketed as hypnotic but I'm not feeling sleepy (high benzodiazepine tolerance) at all. It is nice and sedating though...

I'm putting this in the same class as medazepam; it's as nice as medazepam on high doses. I would guesstimate that 1 mg of lormetazepam (Loramet) is equivalent to 2 mg of lorazepam (Ativan) but it should be noted that the two benzos feel completely different. There is a mild euphoria on Loramet.

The holiest bible in the world

holiest bible

This is my sister's old bible that I found just now. It was from her childhood days and it has a sticker that says "Get off my ass" (in not so many words).

bible ass

There was just an ass (donkey) there and it just went "Get off my *picture of ass*".

The second sticker shows a rather agitated man literally chomping at the bit to become an "Animal Lover".

bible animal lover

I'm glad we don't have sheep at home.

It would be very traumatizing to watch Mr. Animal Lover do the horizontal boogie with animals.

I don't think I want to be around him anyway, coz I always drop the soap. Soap is slippery. One mishandled grip and the soap would go flying. I don't want Mr. Animal Lover to be behind me as I pick up the wayward soap.

No way, man.

Lamictal (Lamotrigine) 50 mg

lamictal

Lamictal is the brand name of lamotrigine manufactured by GSK. It costs RM 50 per blister pack and one dose (tablet) of Lamictal is RM 5.

lamotrigine

This is the other medication I'm on now - it's a mood stabilizer for bipolar people and it not just treats the manic phases but the depressive episodes.

lamictal gsk

I'm only taking 50 mg at 6 am and another 50 mg of lamotrigine at 6 pm (twice a day) so I'm not using it to control my mania (which I like) but my depressive episodes.

lamictal 50

I'm adding this to my existing prescriptions [sixthseal.com] with the following changes:
Remeron 60 mg at night to sleep
Risperdal divided into two doses of 2 mg each at 6 am and 6 pm for better concentrations
Rivotril 6 mg for maintenance

McDonald's SEGA 3 video games - BILLY'S GIANT EGG

billy giant egg

McDonald's just came out with BILLY'S GIANT EGG this Thursday and I just got one of the few remaining units. The packaging has a typo on it and only says BILLY' GIANT EGG.

billy giant egg game

BILLY'S GIANT EGG is the second last electronic game in the Sega 3 series and I got a Cheeseburger Happy Meal but didn't eat it (told the McDonald's server that I only wanted the game, but I took the drink). ;)

billy giant egg man

The manual is printed like the previous iterations of the McDonald's / SEGA collaboration - it's a single sheet of paper with instructions on how to play the game - in this case BILLY'S GIANT EGG, another Sonic franchise character.

billy giant egg clamshell

BILLY'S GIANT EGG also comes in a clamshell design and has two directional buttons in the shape of eggs. The premise of the game is to get Billy to collect fruits while the egg gets bigger and bigger (three sizes) while avoiding hazards.

billy giant egg play

Here is a screenshot of the action - BILLY'S GIANT EGG was way too easy for me. I finished the game on the first try and consistently managed to get through all three levels and hatch the egg. It was a total contrast to the previous unit's hard gameplay.

Collect 20 fruits to advance a level and hatch the egg!

I hate Sibu

sibu medical

It hasn't been an hour since I arrived at Sibu and I hate it already. I'm sorry to say it, but I hate Sibu. I hate everything about it.

sibu medical bed

Sibu is just so...Chinese. I can't read or write Chinese so the Chinese signs irks me. I'm starting to loathe this place and the people.

sibu medical nurse

I don't know why or how I got this way. Perhaps I'm in my depressive mood and the sheer Sibu-ness of Sibu just gets to me. I don't think I can stay here and work.

sibu medical nurse call

It hasn't been an hour and I already abhor the idea of staying here.

sibu medical oxygen

I don't know if Sibu has changed (probably not) or it's me who's changed but I can't stand it anymore.

sibu medical pack

I didn't know it was possible to change someone in a month, Steph.

sibu medical sign

I hate it when Sibu people don't wait until people get out of an elevator before pushing in.

sibu medical tv

I used to do that too coz I'm from Sibu and I'm supposed to be rude and uncouth (or did I pick up the elevator trick from KL?).

sibu medical ward

Did my Sibu-ness drive you away? I'll never know coz you're not answering my calls.

I hate Sibu.

The pure, unadulterated Chinese-ness of this place is depressing and it's driving me insane.

...or maybe I just hate MYSELF.

FedEx Cookies from Rene in Singapore

It just took a couple of days for the package to be sent from Singapore to Kuching, Malaysia. It was declared "non-perishable" and a "personal gift" so perhaps that's why it cleared customs so rapidly.

The main course in this project is the Kraft Macaroni and Cheese Dinner packs. It was pre-made, alas, since we didn't know how to make bona fide macaroni and cheese. It was appended with "The cheesiest original flavor" which made me very happy.

maca cheese boil

One pot of boiling water was set to boil and the Kraft Macaroni and Cheese dumped in with a little McCormick Onion Salt.

maca cheese boil cherie joanne

The other two chefs stirred the mixture constantly while it cooked for 7 minutes...

maca cheese strainer

...and the macaroni was transferred into a strainer once it's done.

maca cheese butter

The macaroni was put back into the pot after straining and ten (10) packs of individually wrapped butter were added in.

maca cheese butter cheese

The Kraft Macaroni and Cheese cheese powder sachet (we used two packs) was emptied into the same pot.

maca cheese butter cheese milk

Cherie emptied a quarter cup of milk into the mixture as per the instructions.

maca cheese stir

The pot containing the macaroni and cheese mixture was put back on low heat and stirred for three (3) minutes.

maca cheese oregano

The macaroni and cheese were transferred into serving bowls and sprinkled with McCormick Oregano Leaves...

maca cheese bacon

...and liberally garnished with Betty Crocker's BacOs Bacon Bits.

maca cheese ode

Cherie even made an ode to sixthseal.com.

maca cheese caviar

Caviar was heaped on the macaroni and cheese to add a touch of flair.

maca cheese apple pie

Apple pie a la mode (a pretentious term for apple pie with ice cream) was had for dessert.

maca cheese served

The macaroni and cheese was served with Angove's NINE VINES Grenache Shiraz Rose wine for the meal.

Azza Burger review

azza burger

Azza Burger is not just a mere burger stall, it's practically an institution here in Kuching. Located at the Kuching Waterfront, this Ramly burger stall caters for drunks and other nocturnal creatures from its notorious open-till-late (or early, depending on how you look at it) hours.

azza burger menu

The most popular burger here is the Special Azza Burger (Semua Ada) which translates to the Special Azza Burger (With Everything). It goes for RM 5 and contains one beef patty, one chicken patty and one sausage wrapped in an egg. It's very popular with stoners.

azza burger grill

The wait at Azza Burger can be anywhere from 15-30 minutes due to the large amounts of customers patronizing this burger stall. There are seats provided for the wait but most people just wait in the car. I personally like to entertain myself by watching them grill the burgers.

azza burger special

Special Azza Burger is the best thing to order and its value for money at RM 5 coz you get everything (except the kitchen sink) with it. The entire concoction of beef, chicken and sausage is wrapped in an egg like the photo above and slathered with chilli sauce.

azza burger special bite

This is what the Special Azza Burger looks like. Its takeaway only and the burgers are great. I highly recommend the Special Azza Burger with everything on it. It looks like a soggy mess but it tastes great!

Project Bachelor Breakfast - Bacon omelet with Edam cheese

This is a recipe for a 12 egg bacon omelet (serves one) that requires the below:

bacon omelet ingredients

1 dozen eggs
200 grams of bacon (about six strips)
Fisher Sunflower Kernels
Edam cheese wedge
Bertolli CLASSICO Olive Oil
McCormick Oregano Leaves
McCormick Onion Salt seasoning
Kahlua coffee liquor
Farmhouse High Calcium Low Fat milk

bacon omelet bacon fry

The first thing that needs to be done is to fry the bacon. Use olive oil as an additional fat source to coat the pan and fry the bacon.

bacon omelet bacon crispy

It doesn't matter whether its crispy bacon or soggy bacon, it's up to your taste. I like soggy bacon.

bacon omelet bacon done

The bacon needs to be transferred to a plate once all of the bacon is cooked.

bacon omelet eggs

Crack 12 eggs into the bacon fat and olive oil mixture and let it simmer on low heat. Your kitchen space should look as messy as this if you followed the instructions.

bacon omelet egg yolk

Mix up the yolks into the egg white to make an omelet.

bacon omelet eggs bacon

Add in the cooked bacon into the omelet.

bacon omelet sunflower

Open up the Fisher Sunflower Kernels (the secret recipe) and add about half the container into the omelet mix.

bacon omelet done

Generously heap on McCormick Oregano Leaves and season well with McCormick Onion Salt.

bacon omelet serve

Serve the 12 egg omelet with the wedge of Edam cheese. It serves one (1) if you mix the Kahlua liquor in a 1:1 ratio with milk.

The sunflower kernels soaks up the bacon fat really well, and it adds a new dimension of texture to the omelet. It's a great, hearty breakfast.

P/S - People with high cholesterol levels are advised to make drastic changes to the recipe.

Frappe review

frappe

Frappe is a coffee establishment located in Travillion Mall. I went there with Joanne last month to check it out and haven't gotten around to writing about it until now.

frappe interior

The interior of Frappe is pretty trippy and you would be forgiven for thinking you accidentally dropped some acid while looking at the reflective full length mirrors.

frappe red chairs

There are also cup shaped chairs as lounges in the inside of the air-conditioned coffee establishment.

frappe coffee bar

The coffee bar at Frappe offers a range of cakes and other delights (don't ask me why I'm using weird words, my brain is malfunctioning right now) showcased at the...er, bar.

frappe cake

I ordered a piece of chocolate cake that was called something fancy, moist Vienna chocolate cake or something to that effect.

frappe half

I also had something which I can't remember the name of except it has the name of the establishment on it which was why I ordered it. The flagship dish, or drink, in this case is a half and half mixture of milk and coffee.

frappe frappe

I also had Frappe which is the other namesake dish, or drink, which was Mocha flavored and I don't remember how much it cost coz I lost the receipt (thus the incomplete names and prices) but I do remember sitting there until they closed. Heh!

frappe carrot

This is Joanne's drink - she had carrot juice. In a coffee establishment. Honestly, I don't know what's wrong with her (other than intolerance towards caffeine). ;)

Oh, so this is what sixthseal.com has come to be - a self-parody of itself and a predisposition to use redundant fillers. :p

Guide to killing boredom in between jobs

guide watch movie

I have had a new found freedom during the period since I resigned from Huygens Asia and before my work in Sibu and I have capitalized on this freedom to do stuff which brings me glee, like going to watch the movies at 3:15 pm. ;)

guide monster house

It feels like I'm playing hooky from work when I'm actually not. I went to watch Monster House yesterday with Joanne. It's actually a pretty fun thing to do to kill boredom in between jobs.

guide popcorn

Just add popcorn. ;)

P/S - I've gained a staggering 10 kgs on Remeron, putting me at 70 kg instead of my usual 60 kg now. I'm going to go on phentermine when I go back to Sibu to bring it back down to the usual weight coz I don't like carrying excess weight around.

Uncle BOB fried chicken

uncle bob stall

Uncle BOB is a fried chicken franchise that holds claim to the fact that their breast meat is as "smooth as a drumstick", without the skin and the fat. There is one stall at the Jalan Song food court.

uncle bob operation

I decided to check out the breast meat (the only cut they sell) to see if it really tastes like a drumstick. I'm a big fan of dark chicken meat (thighs and drums) but not white chicken meat (breast) so I'm something of an authority on the subject. ;)

uncle bob fried chicken

There are two varieties - spicy and normal and we got them both. I wouldn't say that it's as smooth as a drum but it comes close. The texture doesn't feel like breast meat, which is a Good Thing (TM). :)
