T9 rocks my world. I used to be an unbeliever too, until last year. I only learned how to use T9 last year. :p
Was a stauch believer in keypad presses until then. Economy of action.

save a whole lotta time at the traffic lights when RED (of course), texting multiple ppl.
multi-tasking at best.
of course, after a while of using T9, no need look at screen also can predict the words typed by strokes!
I use qwerty keyboard now, love it too!

Serge Norguard: I used to be old skool too...but T9 will rock your socks off. Leave 1 day for learning it, 3 for mastering. :)
