Someone who works in school textbook publishing once told me about the racial stereotyping that's prevalent in our fine educational material. I don't know if I started noticing the same after she told me as such or there really is something of that sort going around. Buttered toast landing butter side down (or Schrödinger's Cat) and all that...

i myself always doubt the fact those books write. not to mention racist remarks that seem to be hidden in plain sight. seeping into the brain of our young generation.
Hahaha! I've always thought they were overtly politically correct, with the eqaul amounts of Abus, Chong Mengs and Gopals.
What sort of music you into these days?
Hey HB, would you be able to translate that for the rest of the world? thanks. Oh, and I have to know, what's happened to your copy of the old site DB for you to have to use that reader's HTML archive?
I never notice this. Next time, I should set more questions the other way wrong. :P
Ah Kong is grandpa. How cute is that? I never called both my grandpa that.. we pronounced that in Mandarin. Sound diffrently.
the hair thing.. yeah, maybe when im in my 70s or so. or when im still alive by that time. ;)
Wow!
Looks like s'one was not idling away at rehab but setting the mind on another higher plane. Good for you.
Back to the baser instincts, the sex post. Waiting for godot?
Don't fret about the racists, a change is gonna come, and not a moment too soon.

Great to see you back in blogosphere! Great to see sixth seal back!
fred: i myself was told that very same thing. i wonder if the fact that i'm noticing this now is coz someone told me this. :)
JW: i'm listening to a lot of NOFX now. My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, Nirvana etc.
my music tastes are pretty much static...
anon: i'm just going to upload the entire old archive - in HTML format, and with the comments not working. at least i have a copy, thanks to one of my readers who managed to save a copy of the blog. as for the translation (roughly):
(space) talk back to older people, advised Uncle Kamal (a Malay name) to Ah Kong (a Chinese name, traditionally the villain ;))
Choonie: haha! that would certainly help things a bit. ;)
cynthia: hmm...we used to call our grandpa gong gong when he was still with us. :)
dr zhivagone: it shall be up soon. this weekend, i promise. :)
Patrick: thanks buddy! it's good to be back. :)
